Just plug this data card into your compatible phone and start navigating.

In this post, I am going to teach you all how to unlock Garmin Mobile XT paired with malaysian maps. ALL FOR FREE. Yeah I know, its illegal :D

Installing and Unlocking
1. First and foremost, download these files.

for other platforms please click here and download the correct platform for your smartphone.

2. Connect your phone to your computer as a removable disk using USB cable/ Insert your mem card using a card reader.

3. One by one, double click on those 3 files above and let it copy all the data to your phone.

4. Once you have finish that, unplug the cable from the phone. The phone should automatically install Garmin Mobile XT. If it fails, Use the file manager and navigate it to your memory card’s root folder and you should see an Installation file. Click it.

5. Fire up the application. Next Next I agree blablabla….. and It will start searching for a GPS device. Cancel it.

6. Click on the settings icon and select “about”. You should see an image that is similar to this:

7. Copy the “Card ID” number on a piece of paper.

8. Now, Download these:

Download either ONE of these two files. The link redirects you to a forum. You have to register to download. Sorry no shortcut here.

9. Start up the keygen and insert the card ID you just copied and generate an unlock code. Startup your notepad and paste the unlock code in there. Save the file as “SW.UNL” without te quotes. Remember, the file must be in .UNL format after its saved.

10. Back to your phone– Close Garmin and reconnect your phone to the computer. Copy the “gmapsupp.jpeg” that you got from the Map files you download and the “SW.UNL” file into the “X:/Garmin” folder of your memory card.

11. Unplug your phone and fire up Garmin Mobile XT again. Click on the Settings icon and go to settings>system>Remote GPS. Now you should have to option to select your inbuilt GPS.

12. Once done, go back to the main menu and click view map. After the GPS has lock down your position, TADA!! you have a detailed map of where you are.
