Tips: More advanced Google Docs edit on your phone or iPad

December 18th, 2010 by ytechcity

ipad-editing2

Basically, you can do simple edits to word documents and spreadsheets created with Google Docs on your iPhone, iPad and Android device. But sometimes a document or spreadsheet needs more than just minor edits like changing a font, or center aligning a paragraph. All this is possible if you’re on an iPad, all you need to do is go to the Desktop version of the document editor. This new mobile editor is fast and lightweight.

In the same manner, you can do the same thing with Google Docs spreadsheets as well. Just go to the Desktop version of the spreadsheet view and you can insert insert formulas using your iPad.

But, according Google Doc blog, tablet browsers are still not as powerful as those one desktops so the extended ability to edit docs on the iPad is not meant to replace working on your documents on a proper computer.

News: Samsung Galaxy S will get the Android Gingerbread update

December 12th, 2010 by ytechcity

Previously, Samsung has officially announced that their Galaxy S is getting Android 2.2 (Froyo) update from 15th Oct 2010 onwards. Now, Samsung Mobile India confirmed via its Twitter account that the Galaxy S will get Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) BUT there’s no set date for the update release, so that’s a bit pointless.

The good thing is, since the statement came out from India, it is very likely that Asian Galaxy S users will get the update as well.

Since, Europe HTC Legend gets Android 2.2 upgrade, we’re still wondering when HTC Malaysia will announce Android 2.2 update for the HTC Legend.
