Cydia Tweak: Swype For iPhone And iPad

Swype for the iPad and iPhone is another way to type with a drag motion. Not always the easiest way to type, but some people will love it. It doesn’t interfere with the regular keyboard, so you can use it when and if you want.

To get Swype on your iPhone and/or iPad, download this deb file.

By following the given instruction you can install Swype on your Jailbroken iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

• Firstly, Launch Cydia from the home screen.
• Tap on the “Manage” Tab after that tap on “Sources” section.
• Tap on the “Edit” button and tap “Add” to add the following repo URL to add sources: http://wynd.x10.mx/repo
• Once it is successfully added, tap on the “Search” tab at the bottom and search for ‘Swype’.
• Tap on Swype to select it from the search results.
• Then tap on the “Install” button and Install it.

No Swype icon will appear on your home screen, but you should be able to using Swype on your Jailbroken iOS devices.

Notcom just updated TinyUmbrella to v5.00.02. The new version is only crucial for CDMA iPhone 4 users and comes with the following changelog.

• iOS 5.0 beta support
• Removed Web/Socks proxy options (App now just uses System proxy settings)
• Resized vertically for the resolutionally challenged few individuals that are stuck with pathetically small screens.
• Added some nag screens for folks that can’t figure out why they can’t save SHSHs because they can’t figure out how to uncheck a box and click a button.
• Fixed an overwrite of cdma iphone 4 5.0b1 blobs. (Resave them if you have an iPhone 4 CDMA)

DiGi: Revealed iPhone 4 plans from RM53 per month

DiGi has revealed that their already affordable iPhone 4 plans are even more affordable. Now their plans are additional RM5 cheaper as compared to launch. This makes its entry iDiGi 88 costing RM58/month without auto-billing and RM53/month with auto-billing.

For those who are extremely tight, DiGi also offers 36 months installment plan which we wouldn’t recommend especially when a new iPhone is on its way.

DiGi: Introduces iPad specific data plans

DiGi has introduced a number of broadband plans designed specifically for the iPad. While iPad uses broadband like any tablets or 3G modems. While Maxis expects high volume usage for tablets beyond the normal average, DiGi has taken a much realistic approach of smaller sized plans between 500MB and 6GB.

iPad Lite offers 500MB at RM30/month and if you do exceed this quota, DiGi will charging you a low flat rate of 5sen/MB with a max cap of RM90. The iPad Basic which offers 2GB at RM58/month and iPad Pro 6GB at RM88 a month. Both Basic and Pro offers unlimited access but speeds will be throttled to 128kbps upon reaching the cap. Throttling also applies for iPad Lite users once they reached their cap limit. In terms of speed, they claim an average speed of 700kbps download and 200kbps upload. U Mobile: Offer Samsung Galaxy Mini and Samsung Galaxy Tab

U Mobile has started offering Samsung Galaxy Mini and Samsung Galaxy Tab contract offers from as low as RM399 and RM0 respectively on their new U postpaid plans with bundled data.

The deal is applicable on 4 U Mobile postpaid plans with monthly commitments from RM68 to RM168 a month. Contract duration is 18 months for the lower 3 plans – U Lite, U Value & U Plus and 24 months for the highest U Premium plan. It is mentioned that only credit card auto-debit is accepted as mode of payment. If you do plan to sign up, there’s an upfront payment of 6 months subscription for U Lite & U Value and 4 months for U Plus and U Premium. This is the lowest Samsung Galaxy Tab bundle at RM399 right now as the previous lowest offer was RM668 with Celcom Exec 250.

To make the deal sweeter, they are giving out RM20 Starbucks vouchers for the first 100 that picked up the Samsung Galaxy Mini and a Vertex Bluetooth headset for the first 50 that subscribes for the Samsung Galaxy Tab. They are also giving a chance to win a 43 inchi HD Grade Plasma for the first 100 subscribers for these packages.
