Google somehow in the bottle neck on selling Google Nexus One smartphone. It is nothing to do with the handset performance, it just the marketing plan by directly sell from Google web store has not been successful. On Friday, Google has announced to stop selling the Nexus One in their online store. They will conventionally partner with carriers to sell the Nexus One in the future. Maybe lack of hands-on help and subsidies from mobile carrier would be the factor of people not buying Nexus One online.

Here are the company blog statements:

More retail availability. As we make Nexus One available in more countries we’ll follow the same model we’ve adopted in Europe, where we’re working with partners to offer Nexus One to consumers through existing retail channels. We’ll shift to a similar model globally.

From retail to viewing. Once we have increased the availability of Nexus One devices in stores, we’ll stop selling handsets via the web store, and will instead use it as an online store window to showcase a variety of Android phones available globally.

For those who are already purchase Nexus One through the web store, this announcement doesn’t have any immediate impact on support for consumers. Are you the one whose already purchase Nexus One through online store?
