After the launch of iPhone 3G, Maxis is scheduled to bring in the next version, the iPhone 3GS. In many ways, the 3GS is a mirror image of the iPhone 3G; externally there’s no difference. It’s inside where all the changes have happened, with Apple issuing a beefed-up CPU, new internal compass, larger capacities for storage, and improved optics for its camera. More to the point, the release of the 3GS coincides with the launch of iPhone OS 3.0, a major jump from previous versions of the system software featuring highly sought after features like cut, copy, and paste, stereo Bluetooth, MMS, tethering, video recording, landscape keyboard options for more applications, and an iPhone version of Spotlight.

Maxis to offer Apple iPhone 3GS from July 31
July 16, Maxis said that pricing for the iPhone 3G (8GB) would be reduced to RM1,990, from RM2,540 previously. Pricing for the iPhone 3GS 16GB and 32GB will be RM2,490 and RM2,990 respectively.

Maxis said it was offering the iPhone 3GS (16GB) free with iValue Plan 4.

Pre-booking of iPhone 3GS
Pre-booking was under way and a special website www.maxis.com.my/iphone3gs was launched to provide details about iPhone 3GS and Maxis iValue plans.
