Computer Tips : How to Manually Update Eset NOD32 Offline

ESET Smart Security or NOD32 provide two way of update the antivirus database for NOD32, which is online update and offline update. For online update, it’s easy,and simple , the NOD32 will automatic updated the database once you computer are online. For offline update, you can’t simply download virus definition update files from the web and update your NOD32 locally on a PC with no internet connection. Below is the detail step by step sharing with you how to manually update NOD32 offline.
1. Of couse, you need to download the laster antivirus database first once you online.
2. Extract to any folder. You should get a folder called “nod_upd” along with the update files inside.

3. Move that folder to the C:\. (You should have “c:\nod_upd”)
4. Open up the NOD32 Control Center by clicking on the system tray icon.
5. Open the “Update” screen and click on “Setup”

6. In the “Server” dropdown list, choose the last item which should point to C:\nod_upd.
7. Click OK to close the update setup window.
8. Back at the update screen, click “Update now”

In order to download laster antivirus database, you can goto search on google.com. Remember, after you updated the laster antivirus database, make sure you run full scan on your computer to confirm your computer are virus free.
