iPhone jailbreak: Sn0wbreeze 2.3 Beta 4 Released with Minor Bug Fixes

March 22nd, 2011 by ytechcity

sn0wbreeze

Since the release of the first beta version of Sn0wbreeze 2.3, iH8sn0w has rolled out a number of updates. Not long ago, the developer has pushed out the Sn0wbreeze 2.3 beta 4 version, the Windows-based jailbreak tool for iOS 4.3. The latest version comes with minor bug fixes and adds the ultrasn0w support.

Sn0wbreeze is best known as an unofficial Windows version of PwnageTool. Like PwnageTool, sn0wbreeze allows iPhone users to create custom iOS firmware (i.e. IPSW file) so that it can be used for jailbreaking.

As of now, this jailbreak is for WINDOWS users only, that’s the only OS Sn0wbreeze supports. Also, this will not work on the iPad 2.

Sn0wbreeze beta 4 version has incorporated the following updates:
• Ultrasn0w now works for basebands (01.59.00 / 04.26.08 / 05.11.07 / 05.12.01 / 05.13.04 / 06.15.00). But please note that ultrasn0w is NOT compatible with the folllowing basebands! (02.10.04 / 03.10.01 / 04.10.01 / 05.14.02 / 05.15.04).
• Fixed minor GUI + iBooty bugs.
• Added Multitasking Gestures option in Settings App.
• iBooty bug fixes (Includes iBSS issues).
• MobileSubstrate is now working.
• Sleep bug in iPod Touches is fixed.
• Rare iPad 1G issues resolved.
• Added iREB to top bar for future re-runs within sn0wbreeze.

The beta version of sn0wbreeze currently supports the following devices:
iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS
iPod touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G
iPad

Please take note that sn0wbreeze 2.3 is still in beta. It’s obvious the software is still buggy and not stable. So I suggest you to wait until the official version debuts before using it. However if you’re adventurous, you can download Sn0wbreeze 2.3 beta 4 from here.
