Digi always come with suprise, but this suprise is expected as the arrival of the iPhone 4 is near and carriers overseas have done the same price slash as well. What we concern now is when will pre-orders for iPhone 4 be announced and what is the price for iPhone 4?

DiGi has slashed its iPhone 3GS prices by RM200 and also reduced its monthly iPhone plans as well. Its iDiGi 88, 138 and 238 have been slashed to RM60, RM90 and RM160 monthly respectively. Not forgetting also is that a new 8GB iPhone 3GS will be coming as the lowest entry phone and it may be priced ever lower than current offerings. Click here to check the old price. This is good news to those like the iPhone 3GS design want a cheaper iPhone.

iPhone 4: iPhone 4 models dropping calls when held left-handed

June 28th, 2010 by ytechcity

Just after the post regarding iPhone 4: You’re Holding It Wrong…The right way to hold iPhone 4, now, we share with you the video where dropping calls when you held your iPhone 4 left-hand.
I guess this answers the question whether to buy, or not to buy. Apparently, touching the bottom left corner of the iPhone 4 lowers the “bars” and drops your calls. If you recall from the WWDC 10 keynote, that’s where the Bluetooth / WiFi / GPS antenna meets its GSM / UMTS counterpart.

Android Phones: Motorola Droid X- the 3rd Droid series on Verizon

June 28th, 2010 by ytechcity

Another Android device has been launched called the Droid X. This becomes the 3rd Droid series on Verizon’s offering after the hot selling Motorola Droid (aka Milestone) and HTC Droid Incredible.

What we learnt from the event is that the Droid X features a 4.3? screen, ability to shoot 720p video and it is powered with a 1GHz ARMv7 processor. Unlike the Motorola Droid, the Droid X does not come with qwerty slider keyboard.

Other key features of the device is a 8 Megapixel camera, 16:9 display, HDMI output, Flash 10, WiFi hotspot and support up to 40GB Memory with 8GB on board memory and 16GB storage media included. The Droid X will initially ship with Android 2.1 but with Android 2.2 Froyo update on the way.

Environmental Friendliness is another highlight for the device as it is claimed to be PVC, bromine, mercury and arsenic free. To drive that green statement further, 65% of its packaging is made out of recycled materials.

On Android’s popularity, Andy Rubin, the key guy for Android has also mentioned that 160,000 Android handsets are sold each day. This is a huge increase from its 100,000 per day figures mentioned at Google I/O. He also announced that Android 2.2 (Froyo) is being made open source today.

The Droid X will start shipping next month July 15 for $199.99. Users will need to subscribe to a smartphone service for $29.99 and additional $20 for mobile hotspot. It will be available in all Best Buy and Verizon stores in the US only.

June 28th, 2010 by ytechcity

After maxis launch the HTC legend and HTC desire. Just recently, the people running it’s official Twitter account have just confirmed with us that Maxis will be bringing in the 8GB iPhone 3GS and today, ahead of the official launch, Maxis has revealed the subsidized pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S.

We mentioned earlier that it will be close to what Maxis is offering for the HTC Desire and we we’re not far off. With a 12 month contract on any Value Plus plan with an added on data plan, the Galaxy S can be yours for RM1,699.

It’s a pretty good deal considering the specs you’re getting. It’s hard to imagine that just a couple of years back you’d be paying upward of RM3,000 for a comparable WinMo smartphone.

the Samsung Galaxy S brings you an exceptional mobile experience.
4-inch Super AMOLED screen with touch-sensitive controls
