Introduction
K7 is an interesting Free Fax service. It lets you receive fax for free. When you sign up with K7, you could get a fax number for free. Now, when anyone sends you a fax on that number, K7 will process these messages and then forward them to your email address. All totally Free. That’s pretty cool.
Interesting Features:
1. Get a free online phone number for receiving fax messages and voicemail.
2. Manage incoming fax and voicemail from one location.
3. Download and save voice messages and fax files to your computer.
4. Customize and record your personal call greetings.
5. No restrictions on the number of faxes or voice messages you can receive.
6. You can store at most 20 messages online, after that newest message will be erasing the oldest.
How do I sign up?
1. First you will need to go our web site at www.K7.net to register.
2. Enter your email address.
3. The K7 attachment will arrive as a”.wav” or “.tif” file extension.
4. If you are a WebTV user, the K7 attachments will be automatically read by the WebTV’s email viewer.
5. Unix users receive their faxes as a “.tif” file extension. Unix users can download the UNIX plug-in by going to: www.swiftview.com/plug1.
I loved this because it is totally Free, and does not adds any advertisement to the fax that it sends on email. K7.net is a web application, you can do everything online, you do not need to download or install anything. But, the disadvantages is K7 number will remains inactive for 30+ days then it will be terminated for non-use. You still will be able to register a new one but your number will be different.
