Galaxy Tab 10.1 will launch in Malaysia this Saturday, August 20 sometime around 9am. Celcom and Samsung can’t wait to launch the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Celcom will be the first to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1(16GB, 3G version), exclusively, for a short time period. Maxis may launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 too but believe that Maxis might delay that.

For those who can’t or don’t want to wait for the official release of the Facebook app for iPad. We’ve added a video that guides you through the steps required to install the unreleased app in your iPad. Again, we’re cautioning you to proceed at your own risk. Video after the jump.

Apparently Facebook is working on an HTML5-rich iPad app and TechCrunch claims that they’ve been using the app for hours now. There’s no official word from Facebook on this but the screen grabs look real and they look good. Real good.

For a screen grab smorgasbord of the yet to be released (as well as confirmed) official Facebook app for iPad, head on over to TechCrunch.

If you have a jailbroken iPad, you should be able to access this hidden Facebook app for iPad. All you need to do is change the UIDeviceFamily to 2 for iPhone on the Facebook app. A word of caution, proceed at your own risk.

LG Optimus Pro and its Gingerbread brother Optimus Net are now official.

The LG Optimus Pro have an 800MHz processor, 256 MB of RAM, a 2.8 inch screen, a three megapixel camera and internal storage of only 15o MB, but Optimus Net was a mystery. Until now. Unlike its QWERTY brother, the Net is a full touchscreen. Nonetheless, the model for North America will come with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Optimus Net has a 3.2-inch (320 x 480) display and sports the same 800MHz processor.

Both smartphones come with a 1500mAh battery and running on Android 2.3.

Ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 launch, Celcom pulled out another tablet out of its blue cube with the launch of the 8.9-inch LG Optimus Pad — the world’s first tablet capable of capturing 3D images and videos. The Optimus Pad is also the first 8.9-inch Honeycomb tablet in the market.

The LG Optimus Pad runs an Nvidia 1Ghz Tegra 2 dual core processor and features an 8.9-inch WXGA display with a 1280×768 resolution and a dual-array 5MP rear-facing camera placed about 1.5-inches apart of each other for 3D video recording and photos. The dual-5MP camera is capable of shooting 1080p 2D or 720p 3D videos.

Unfortunately unlike the LG Optimus 3D, the display on the Optimus Pad isn’t autostereoscopic. For you to view 3D content on the device, you will need to wear 3D glasses which is an optional extra. In terms of look and feel the Optimus Pad shares the same design language as the LG Optimus 2X.

The LG Optimus Pad retails for RM2,199 outright. Celcom is offering it for as low as RM1,668 with a data plan contract. They are two plans two choose from for the tablet:

1.Celcom Broadband Basic offers 4GB of data a month for RM68/month
2.Celcom Broadband Advance with 6GB of data a month for RM98/month

Celcom is currently offering a 12-month RM10 monthly rebate for both plans as well. Based on the rebate, we assume the contract term is for 12 months.

So, are you interest on this, or you will choose Apple iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab?
