News: SE Playstation phone Running Android 2.3 coming March 2011
December 12th, 2010 by ytechcityReports are coming in that sources close to the project has indicated that the PlayStation phone (currently codenamed Zeus) is slated for a March 2011 release right after it makes its official public appearance at the mother of all mobile technology trade shows — Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2011.
In addition, the source has revealed that the will very likely carry the Playstation Phone rather than a Sony Ericsson Xperia name.
The PlayStation phone is expected to be similar in size to the Sony PSP Go. Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone is boasts Android 2.3 for operating system, multitouch trackpad , microUSB v2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Camera with LED and Auto focus, A-GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, Google Talk, support HTML for browsing, and GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 and HSDPA 900 / 2100 for network data. The user will be able to communication with his dear and near one through services of SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email, IM etc. In addition, there’s a built-in touchpad with multitouch support nestled in between the slide out gaming controllers. On expandable media, it uses the standard microSD instead of Sony’s proprietary Memory Stick format.

Sony Ericsson PlayStation Smartphone will be more powerful than the PlayStation Portable itself. The device also has acces to Sony Marketplace which will allow you to download or purchase games and other content for the phone as well as the console functionalities. Looks like it’s shaping up to be a very interesting first quarter next year.
